Long synopsis

Chloé (Ad¨le Haenel) is 13 years old and mute. Traumatised by years of abandonment, unable to bear any human contact, she is entirely dependent on her younger brother, Joseph (Vincent Rottiers).

Joseph has been hardened by their years on the run. Fiercely protective of Chloé, motivated by his limitless love for her, terrified that they could be separated at any time, he will do whatever it takes to keep them together.

They cling to each other, united against any interference from the outside world. In a home for disturbed children, a psychiatrist offers them a chance of normality“ but will they take it?

Raw, emotional, burning with restless energy, Devils is driven by director Ruggia’sunique, uncompromising vision and two extraordinary performances from its juvenile leads.

In this intense, powerfully emotional second feature, Christophe Ruggia (Le Gone du Cha¢ba, 1998), depicts the troubled world of two abandoned children trapped in a vortex from which there seems to be no escape.
